Today’s post comes all the way from Ohio! Yep, you heard right, Ohio. Dude and I are here to take part in a longitudinal research study that he’s been participating in since he was six months old. This is the first time we’ve had to travel and he’s having a great time of it. Travel was long (9 hours) so I packed his lunch a long with Bug’s camp lunch.
The Contents: Cheese and turkey sandwiches on thins, carrots, green beans, white nectarines and egg faces.
The Details: Nothing new here – sandwiches are my kids’ least favorites but have some of the best protein portability. And Dude really wanted an egg face so there it is. I used the end of a string bean for the nose.
The Verdict: Bug proclaimed that she loves her lunches and Dude was amused by his egg face.
The Funny Story: As you know, Bug has been at Girl Scout camp this week and her lunches have become quite the popular viewing item. Appearently, her unit leader also put it all together that Dad would be making her Friday lunch and was quite excited to see what the difference would be. Dad had to run up to camp on Friday and Bug’s leader proclaimed his lunch to be quite boring! Hey, a stay-at-home-mom’s gotta take pride in what she can, eh?
