My Three Kid Circus

This may be as crazy as it gets… but we're lovin' it!

Today’s lunch was leftovers, but that’s not what I really wanted to share.  Does anyone recognize this box?  Hint…its a Tupperware.  It was mine, way back when…I think I remember using it when I was in grade school.  Way back before Bentos boxes or waste-free lunches were popular.  I don’t remember exactly what I had for lunch, but I do remember how a half sandwich fit perfectly into the box.  My mom passed two of these boxes down a couple of years ago.

I also remember one of my classmate’s lunches – her mom packed her these incredible meals that I can remember in detail.  Crackers and cheese, fruit cut up into bits.  Lunchables before there was such a thing.  Bento-style before it was mainstream.  I wish I could remember how it was packed – probably into boxes knowing this particular mom.

Enough reminiscing?

The Contents – Not pictured, leftover spaghetti in a thermos.  Peach and honeydew bites.  An oreo topped with a cinnamon letter cookie from Trader Joes.  Pirates booty and the last of the Calbee snap pea.

The Details – Nothing fancy.  We had lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory on Sunday and the kids were dying to take their leftovers.  The youngest ate his for breakfast.  That’s how good it was.

The Verdict – “Soooo good, mom!  The best ever!”  Funny how I didn’t actually make the main course of today’s lunch and its the best ever.

Edited to add a link to What’s For Lunch Wednesday.  Go see what everyone else is up to!
